This song is the epitome of how it feels to be overly confident, drunk, and rowdy at a bar with your friends–and so is this cocktail. It’s brash, it’s strong, and it’ll get the party started (if not a bar fight). I knew it was going to be a beer cocktail right away, if not only for the mentions of beer in the song, but it also just feels like too rambunctious of a song not to use beer as the main alcohol–so here, I went with a classic Michelada.
Immediately starting off high-energy and staying that way throughout the whole song, “Saturday Night” is filled with loud piano chords, fast and unruly drums, and punchy electric guitar riffs. The song keeps its tempo and overall rowdy feel, and it definitely matches the tangy, savory flavors brought forward by the tomato juice and lime. Corona is just about the only beer I enjoy, so it was fitting that Corona Extra was the best pairing for this cocktail, too. The chili lime rim also gives the perfect kick with each sip, nodding to the overall raucous nature of the song.
Ingredients:
¼ cup tomato juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice
Corona Extra to top
chili lime seasoning & salt for rim
limes to garnish
Rim your glass with chili lime seasoning and salt. Mix tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and lime juice together in glass with ice, then top with Corona. Garnish with limes.
