ALBUM: Midnights
When I think of Midnights, I think of going out drinking with friends in sparkly outfits until 2am. It’s a moody, sultry, luxurious album in both sound and in visuals, so I knew I was going to play off her music video vibes for the cocktail shoot. Songs like “Bejeweled” and “Lavender Haze” were my biggest inspirations, featuring iridescent lights, deep blues and purples, sparkling diamonds… you get the picture. It’s all a very glam reflection on sleepless nights, whether those nights are spent crying over a guy (no thanks) or out partying under disco balls (yes please). For the cocktail itself, I wanted to make a drink that could have two possible outcomes: to taste rich and luxurious enough to sip on throughout the night, or to taste so sweet that you can chug it before hitting the club. The mixture of peanut butter whiskey and Chambord makes this cocktail taste exactly like a PB&J, so whether you choose to sip or chug, it’s gonna go down sweet. Mixed with red wine and glittery luster dust, the deep bluish purple hues make it just as elegant as it is fun!
Ingredients:
2 oz peanut butter whiskey
2 oz chambord
2 oz red wine
spoonful of raspberry jam
splash of simple syrup
blue and black luster dust
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake together and pour into a chilled glass with ice. Can garnish with raspberries if desired.
