You’ll need the following ingredients and equipment to make this peanut butter cherry whiskey sour:
- Cocktail shaker
- Peanut butter whiskey
- Cherry jam
- Lemon juice
- Simple syrup
- Cherries
- Egg white (optional)
Customize This Recipe!
There are a few different ways you can customize this recipe:
- Choose your favorite jam. Any sweet berry jam will taste delicious in this cocktail, so you can choose your favorite!
- Add an egg white. If you want a foamy top on your cocktail, add an egg white to your cocktail shaker and shake vigorously without ice first, then add ice and shake again before straining into your glass.

- Utilize mise en place! Make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and ready before you begin making this recipe - it will help save you time and keep you organized.
- How to make simple syrup: Simple syrup is, unironically, a very simple cocktail ingredient to make! Just heat equal parts water and sugar (I usually do ½ cup each) in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Chill to at least room temperature before using.
- Don't forget to strain. If you want a smooth cocktail, be sure to strain your drink into your glass so any leftover bits of jam don't make it in!

Peanut Butter Cherry Whiskey Sour
Ingredients
- 4 oz peanut butter whiskey
- 2 oz cherry jam
- 1 ½ oz lemon juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white optional
- 1 handful cherries to garnish
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- If using an egg white, dry shake vigorously until ingredients are fully combined, then add ice to cocktail shaker and shake again. If not including an egg white, you can skip the dry shake and just shake with ice once.
- Strain your cocktails into two glasses and garnish with fresh cherries.
