You’ll need the following ingredients and equipment to make these frosted cranberry margaritas:
- Sugar
- Water
- Rosemary
- Fresh cranberries
- Tequila
- Lime
- Orange
- Salt or sugar
Customize This Recipe!
There are a few different ways you can customize this recipe:
- Garnish your way. You can garnish these cocktails any way you like! Use a ton of fresh rosemary sticking out of the glass, put fresh cranberries on a cocktail pick, muddle some cranberries at the bottom of the glass - you name it.
- Use a flavored tequila. You can't go wrong with a classic tequila, but who's to say you can't mix things up and try an interesting flavored one and put it to use in these cocktails?

- Utilize mise en place! Make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and ready before you begin making this recipe - it will help save you time and keep you organized.
- Chill your glasses. It really does make a difference - after adding your rim, put your glasses in the freezer to keep them fully chilled until you add your cocktails!

Frosted Cranberry Margaritas
Ingredients
For the rosemary syrup:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 sprig of rosemary
For the margaritas:
- ¾ cup fresh cranberries
- ¼ cup tequila
- 1 lime
- 1 orange
- salt/sugar for rim
- rosemary sprigs for garnish
- fresh cranberries for garnish
Instructions
For the rosemary syrup:
- In a pot over the stove, mix one cup sugar and one cup water on medium heat. Add in a sprig of rosemary and stir.
- Stir until sugar dissolves completely, then let the simple syrup cool on the stove while you make your drinks.
For the margaritas:
- Add ¾ cup of cranberries to your shaker (or just a cup) and add your tequila. Muddle the cranberries into the tequila to release the flavor and color.
- Cut a lime in half and use it to rim your glasses. Dip them in salt, sugar, or a mixture of both.
- Squeeze the lime and half of the orange into the shaker and mix together.
- Pour the simple syrup into the shaker/cup along with a handful of ice and shake.
- Fill your glasses to the top with ice cubes, then pour your cocktails over the ice.
For the garnish:
- Use some leftover simple syrup or water to soak some cranberries and rosemary sprigs, then roll them in sugar and place on top of your glasses.
