One Bowl Chocolate Banana Brownies
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 banana sliced in half lengthwise
- ¾ cup flour
- 1 ¼ cups semi sweet chocolate chips divided
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ºF and prepare an 8x8in baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt your butter and 1 cup chocolate chips in the microwave - heat in 30 second intervals and stir well in between.
- After butter/chocolate mixture has cooled slightly, mix in sugars, salt and vanilla until fully combined.
- Add in eggs one by one and mix fully, then add your bananas and mash slightly with a whisk while mixing. you should have large chunks of banana in your brownie mix.
- Fold in the flour and remaining chocolate chips until fully combined.
- Spread brownie batter into your prepared pan and place your banana slices on top however you'd like them arranged.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
