Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite parks in terms of rides, but I hadn’t ever focused on their food selections before this trip. I think Animal Kingdom still takes first place overall for food, but HS definitely has some gems in different areas of the park!
One thing I wanted to see (and taste) more of was Galaxy’s Edge–but that’s what happens when you’re the only adult in the family even remotely interested in Star Wars. We didn’t realize until it was too late that Oga’s Cantina was reservation-only (which seems odd for a 90% standing-room bar), so I didn't get to try any of those signature cocktails on this visit. I also passed on the Ronto Wrap this time (I know, I know), and didn’t see many desserts on the menus this time around. My next trip won’t be for a while, but whenever I get back, don’t worry- I have a list of foods I didn’t get to try that I’ll have to revisit.

FOOD
------------------------
1. Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip - Docking Bay 7
This was one of the best foods I’ve ever eaten in Hollywood Studios by far. Galaxy’s Edge has some great options all around, and I knew before I even got to the park that I wanted to try the Tip Yip. Yes, I know Ronto Wraps get all the hype–but personally, I wanted something a little more filling for almost the same price. It definitely did not disappoint! The Mac & Cheese was perfectly creamy, not sticky or stringy, and the chicken was really well-cooked and filling. The broccoli could have used some seasoning or sauce, though–it was literally just plain broccoli put in each dish.
I also have good word from family members who tried the spicier version of the Tip Yip, and they say it’s even better!
2. Blue Donut - Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea (Pixar Place)
I don’t know if this donut is officially called the “blue donut” because they weren’t labeled, but if you stop at a Joffrey’s kiosk at any of the parks, you can’t pass up these huge, sweet treats. They were about as big as my head, and there were so many fun options–pink, blue, classic vanilla, plus Oreo & M&M!
It also wasn’t sickeningly sweet like a lot of donuts are. The icing was just thin enough to give a sweet flavor while still letting the fluffy donut shine through in terms of flavor and texture. These are great to share, or eat on your own (like I did) for a quick and filling breakfast or snack!
3. “Totchos” - Woody’s Lunch Box
These bad boys stole the show for me on this trip. Easily the best thing I ate at any park, though the Greek salad from my Magic Kingdom Food Guide does take a close second place. The Totchos are essentially just chili cheese nachos, but the chips are tater tots–a.k.a. the snack of my dreams.
Topped with chili, cheese, sour cream, chives, and Fritos, they’re the perfect filling snack to eat between rides, or even as a light meal at lunch or dinner. They’re big enough to share, too, so you can try more than one thing on the menu (I had bites of the BBQ Brisket Melt and the Raspberry & PB Banana Lunch Box Tarts, and all were fantastic!).
4. Chicken Club Sandwich - ABC Commissary (Not Pictured)
Okay, I’m truly kicking myself for forgetting to snap a picture of this yummy meal–it was the end of the day, we were starving, and I inhaled everything to fast before I could remember that I am, in fact, a food blogger. That means I’ll have to paint a mental picture for you:
Imagine a huge hunk of marinated chicken nestled between crispy bacon, melted provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato, a huge spread of avocado ranch, all between a perfectly toasted Brioche bun. Big enough to make getting the whole thing in your mouth a little trickier than your average sandwich, but worth the stretch. The perfect marriage of flavors from savory chicken to fresh, juicy tomato, to the bright, tangy avocado ranch. Paired with perfectly seasoned, thick French fries. It was arguably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, and that’s pretty big knowing it’s Disney food.
Disney has been upping it’s game lately, and this was the first time I’d ever tried ABC Commissary–it definitely gets a big thumbs up from me, and I’d definitely suggest stopping to get this sandwich at some point during your trip.

DRINKS

5. Strawberry Daiquiri - Sunshine Day Bar
I’m a sucker for any frozen drinks (you can probably tell that by now), so any time I see daiquiris on a menu, there’s usually a 90% chance I’m getting it. This strawberry daiquiri was no different–classic flavor, double shot of rum (naturally), cute little cherry on top. It was the perfect drink to enjoy while watching the Beauty and the Beast show next door! Could still do without the paper straws, though.
6. Strawberry-Lemonade Sunset - Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea
There was a bit of a disconnect between the menu items on the Disney app and the actual items at certain restaurants and kiosks throughout the parks, and this was one of them. I’d originally wanted the Tiki Torch, but they claimed they didn’t have the passionfruit puree–even though I could see the entire wall of frozen drink mixes with one labeled “passionfruit” right inside. Oh well.
I got the Strawberry-Lemonade Sunset instead (I think that’s the correct name), and it was pretty good! Tasted like a typical strawberry & lemonade frozen cocktail. I had it around 9 or 10 am paired with the blue donut, so it was a great little pick me up after riding our first few rides.
7. Blue Milk with Rum - Milk Stand (Galaxy’s Edge)
Ah, the beloved yet controversial blue milk. I’ve seen so many mixed reviews about both the blue and green milks, and I obviously had to try one while I was in Galaxy’s Edge. Sadly, this was the only drink I got to enjoy there–we couldn’t get into Oga’s Cantina, so I grabbed this blue milk with added rum on our way out. I definitely recommend it if you like cream-based cocktails! It’s basically just coconut milk with rum, so you have to like coconut milk to enjoy it, obviously. Not my usual frozen cocktail, but it was just as good!
8. Ace Space Bloody Orange Hard Cider - Base Line Tap House
Right around the corner from ABC Commissary is Base Line Tap House: a cute little bar with outdoor seating and a great selection of beer, ciders, and cocktails. It’s a full bar, so you can get whatever your go-to drink is, but I definitely suggest trying out some of their signature stuff!
Their cider was a blood orange blend (which I love), and it was perfect to wind down the day with. Splashes of citrus between the apple made a really refreshing drink, and if you’re a cider lover in Disney, you’ve gotta try it out. You can also get beer flights (in the background of the picture here) to try out multiple beers if you can’t decide on just one!
