I hate to be that person, but Magic Kingdom is the worst park out of all three (not including Epcot because I haven’t been in probably 15 years). Don’t get me wrong, it’s great for nostalgia and low-key kid rides, but as a 25 year old food blogger looking for fantastic food, cocktails and thrill rides, it’s not up to par. However, I obviously still had a great time, and the food I did eat here was pretty good! I think we all just burned out too easily during the 15 hour day we spent walking and waiting in lines.

1. Greek Salad with Chicken Strips - Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
I was really pleasantly surprised by this salad! It was day two, my first meal of the day, and I wanted something that would fill me up and give me some energy without being too heavy. I don’t think I could have picked a better option, to be honest!
I love a fresh salad with chicken, and I was scared this one would taste old and soggy, like it’d been sitting pre-made behind a counter all morning–but it was really fresh with lots of bright, tasty flavors, and the chicken was perfect (fried over grilled on salads any day). The Greek feta vinaigrette was to die for, too, but I obviously added some ranch for even more tangy goodness.
2. Roasted Street Corn Flatbread - Pinocchio Village Haus
I have a hard time saying no when I see a flatbread on the menu, so when I saw this roasted street corn option, I had to try it out. It was super well done–lots of flavor in the corn and cheeses, and the cilantro mayo was super yummy! It could have done with a little more spice if I’m being honest, though. I get that mostly kids come to Magic Kingdom, but there were five flatbreads on the menu and all of them were pretty safe in terms of toppings and flavors. They could definitely kick it up a notch and give the menu something really unique!
3. Grilled Shrimp Skewer - Columbia Harbour House
I’m not usually one to get seafood at a theme park, but this was the dinner restaurant pick of the day and I definitely wasn’t gonna get the lobster roll (“New England lobster” in Disney World? I’ll pass). I was definitely happy with the shrimp, though! Lots of seasonings, great flavor–I just wish they’d take the damn tails off. All the best flavor gets stuck in the tails, and who wants to get their hands dirty eating something that’s meant to be bitten right off the skewer?
4. Raspberry Swirl Cup - Aloha Isle
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m not the hugest fan of pineapple. That’s why I was so excited to see this raspberry option on the Aloha Isle menu. It was still swirled with the classic pineapple Dole whip, but the mixture of the two flavors was exactly what I needed before we headed back to the villa for an early afternoon nap. Plus, it was only $4.99 and the serving size was pretty big! Definitely a good value for the price.
5. Mickey Snickers Cake Pop - Main Street Confectionery
Ah, I miss this cake pop endlessly. It was a perfect midnight snack after a long day at Magic Kingdom with no sugary cocktails, and I was craving it so badly by the time we got back from the park that I didn’t even care that much that the ears were apparently marshmallow instead of cake. They do come served on sticks, though, and mine was broken by the time I walked out of the store and took it out of the bag. Sad. I don’t know if they’re meant to be a little underbaked, but mine was and it was really good. Snickers on top, chocolate cake in the middle, covered in chocolate–it would have been perfect if it weren’t for those damn surprise marshmallow ears. Would still eat it again, though.
