Ingredients

For the bagels:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts

For the egg wash:

  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cranberries and walnuts in a bowl.
  • Add in Greek yogurt and mix well, until rough dough forms.
  • Form dough into a ball, adding some water if needed until dough sticks together.
  • Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough until smooth and uniform - I like to form the dough into a long, flat rectangle shape to make it easy to divide.
  • Divide dough into 6-8 equal parts, depending on how big you want your bagels, and round them into flattened circles.
  • Poke a hole in each circle and form each into the bagel’s final shape, then place them on the baking sheet.
  • Whisk the egg and milk to make your egg wash and brush onto bagels.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes, or until slightly risen and golden brown.
  • Slice and serve with a spread of your choice!
