Creamy Avocado Basil Pasta
This gorgeous avocado basil pasta is such a quick and easy homemade meal! It's made with avocado, spinach, and basil for an easy way to get some healthy greens while still enjoying a delicious bowl of pasta.

- 1 ¾ cup pasta
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 avocado
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- ⅓ cup pasta water
- ½ cup milk
- ⅓ cup parmesan
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
In a pot on the stove, boil the pasta according to package instructions (usually 10 minutes).
While the pasta is boiling, add the avocado, spinach, basil, garlic, milk, parmesan, and seasonings to the blender and blend until smooth.
Add in ⅓ cup of pasta water and blend. You can add more water or milk as needed to thin the sauce.
Drain the pasta and add the pasta and the sauce back into the pot, stirring to coat evenly.
Transfer pasta to a serving bowl, top with more parmesan, and enjoy!
- Utilize mise en place! Make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and ready before you begin making this recipe - it will help save you time and keep you organized.
- Save that pasta water. Make sure you save about a cup of pasta water before draining your noodles! The recipe calls for ⅓ cup, but it's best to have some extra pasta water on hand in case you want your sauce any thinner.
