Brown Butter Pasta Sauce

This brown butter sauce is the perfect companion to any pasta dish! It has tons of warm, nutty flavor from the brown butter, a super creamy consistency, and an herby, cheesy finish that pairs well with virtually any dinner meal.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or chopped fresh
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat until melted.
  • Continue cooking for about 5 minutes, until butter is brown in color and has a rich, nutty smell.
  • Add in cream and oregano and stir until combined, then simmer for about a minute. Stir occasionally.
  • Add in parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and stir again, simmering for another minute or two (until sauce thickens slightly).
  • Fold into or pour on top of dish and serve!
