Inspired by the song “Love Potion No. 9” by The Clovers, this cocktail is made with vanilla vodka, pink lemonade, sparkling rosé, and sweet strawberries in the form of simple syrup or jam – your choice! Using jam will give this cocktail a more mild pink color, but a few drops of pink food coloring or luster dust can brighten it up if desired. Garnish your glasses with strawberry hearts for an extra special touch and ring in this Valentine’s Day with your loved ones in the sweetest way!

Customize This Recipe!

There are a few different ways you can customize this recipe:

  • Make the color pop. As mentioned, using jam will produce a milder color while packaged strawberry simple syrup will make this cocktail a brighter pink – but adding a bit of edible pink luster dust or food coloring can really make the color shine!
  • Use your favorite sparkling wine. I used a Prosecco rosé, but any champagne or sparkling wine will do – you’ll taste it first in every sip, so use your favorite!

Kitchen Tips:

  • Utilize mise en place! Make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and ready before you begin making this recipe – it will help save you time and keep you organized.
  • Plan your garnish. I like to set up my cocktail glasses and garnishes ahead of time so they stay as fresh as possible – for this cocktail, I added the sugar rim, then arranged the strawberry hearts in the glass, filled it with ice, and kept the whole glass in the freezer until I was ready to pour the drink in!
