Homemade Radish Butter on Toasted Focaccia
This homemade radish butter is the perfect compliment to a toasty piece of your favorite bread! Peppery breakfast radishes are blended with soft, creamy butter, rich garlic, and earthy herbs to make a bright and flavorful spread.

A trip to the farmers market in the spring and summer months isn’t complete without a bunch of breakfast radishes, and this homemade radish butter is an absolutely delicious way to enjoy them! Radishes and butter are already a classic snack pairing (namely in France), and combining the two to spread on a thick, toasty piece of focaccia is just so dang good. All it takes is a handful of breakfast radishes shredded or finely chopped and whipped up with soft butter, garlic, and fresh herbs. Spread it on your favorite toasted bread for a bright, crisp topping, or even eat it with more radishes in traditional French style!

- Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze, hot honey, or a flavored olive oil to really round out your desired flavor palate!
- Mix in some extra herbs and spices to make this butter more sweet or savory, like chili powder or a bit of cardamom to complement the peppery flavor of the radishes.
- Use your favorite bread! Sourdough, wheat, ciabatta, focaccia, sliced baguette, or even a thick, crunchy cracker to dip into the butter itself.

Kitchen Tips:
- Utilize mise en place! Make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and ready before you begin making this recipe – it will help save you time and keep you organized.
- Let your toasted bread cool down a bit before spreading the butter on to avoid it melting completely.
- Use a (somewhat) fancy butter – trust me. The flavor of something like Kerrygold compared to your store-brand margarine will be incomparable!
